HVM 90 London Cycle Stand

Stands are galvanised as standard, colour coating is available as an optional extra (additional cost) and must be specified at the time of order. Stands are available in 4 styles, T1, T2, T3, and T4.

Each system consists of 2 x cycle stands as 2 x sub-frames.

The cycle stand has been designed and tested to withstand vehicle impact and has achieved the following product rating:
IWA 14-1:2013 Barrier V/1500[M1]/48/90:26.4
(A minimum of two cycle stand / sub-frames are required in order to comply with testing)

What is IWA14-1:2013?
IWA14-1 is an International Workshop Agreement which specifies the essential impact performance requirement for a vehicle security barrier (VSB) and a test method for rating its performance when subjected to a single impact by a test vehicle.

How to decode the IWA14-1 product rating given:

3. Test Type, ‘V’ denotes a vehicle impact (IWA141-1 only allows for type ‘V’ tests)

6. Impact Speed in Km/h
7. Impact Angle
8. Vehicle Penetration Distance in Metres
In the above example, the product rating shows that a Barrier type VSB was impacted by a
Vehicle (V) of an M1 Class (Car) with a mass of 1500Kg. The vehicle was travelling at
48Km/h and impacted the Barrier at an angle of 90 degrees and penetrated 0.0m past the
VSB datum point after impact.
